The Richman Foundation, a private foundation in Baltimore, needed a website that did two jobs at once: share who they are in a meaningful way, and give prospective grantees the information they need to apply for funding.
As a newly established foundation, Richman had no digital presence and a specific dual audience — the community they serve and the grantees who apply to them. The site had to establish credibility and identity from scratch while functioning as a clear, usable application resource.
We built a WordPress site structured around storytelling and clarity: a narrative that communicates the foundation’s mission and a grant-application experience that walks prospective grantees through what they need. We worked closely with the Executive Director to understand the foundation’s goals, audiences, and specific needs for the site, using those insights to shape an experience that would be both informative and engaging. Together, we carefully considered how to communicate the foundation’s story in a way that would resonate with the community it serves while making the grant process clear and accessible to prospective applicants. After launch, we made sure the team knew how to maintain and market the site themselves.
A clear, welcoming digital front door for a brand-new foundation — one that tells the Richman story and shows prospective grantees exactly how to apply for funding. KTD also left the team equipped to update and market the site themselves after launch.
“Kate and her team created a beautiful, informative, user-friendly website for The Richman Foundation, a new private foundation in Baltimore. Not only does the site share our story in a meaningful way, but it also provides prospective grantees with the information they need to apply for funding.”
