A Beautiful Impact Report For One of National Capital Region’s Largest Nonprofit Affordable Housing Developers

A visually engaging report highlighting AHC’s mission to create homes, services, and opportunities that drive real impact.

KTD Creative partnered with Affordable Homes & Communities, which has multiple locations across Virginia, Washington, DC, and Baltimore, to design and develop their latest 28-page print and digital Impact Report, bringing the organization’s mission and vision to life through compelling visuals and clear, engaging storytelling.

The report highlights how Affordable Homes & Communities places residents at the center of its work—creating quality homes, delivering holistic resident services, and fostering positive change through innovation, partnerships, and responsible investment.

We also created a 50th anniversary version of their logo, a printed version of the annual report, a unique homepage banner, and a postcard for the 50th anniversary gala on October 1, 2026, at the InterContinental Hotel – The Wharf, in addition to implementing a scrolling page design on their website. All of this was completed in record time, working closely with staff to ensure every deliverable aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.

Our design approach focused on clarity and accessibility, ensuring both the digital and printed reports effectively communicate the impact of the organization’s programs while reflecting its forward-thinking, inclusive vision: a world where all people have equal opportunities, housing is central to a healthy society, and affordable homes are available to everyone. Through a thoughtful mix of photography, data visualization, and narrative, the reports showcase measurable outcomes, resident stories, and the transformative power of stable, supportive housing.

This project demonstrates KTD Creative’s ability to translate mission-driven work into visually striking, strategic communications—both digital and print—that inform, inspire, and engage stakeholders.
